Funky Bhangra restaurant opened in Pósthús Mathöll in downtown Reykjavík in the fall of 2022 and has since become a popular spot in the city center. In November 2025, Funky Bhangra opened in Garðinum Food Hall in Smáralind and immediately received great reception.

Funky Bhangra is the brainchild and long-awaited dream of Yesmine Olsson, who in her cooking allows herself to blend Indian spices with Scandinavian traditions.
